About PLS

Since 1987, PLS has offered cutting edge, comprehensive, quality, continuing education courses for dental and health care professionals. These courses are acknowledged as “Professional, well organized, and reasonably priced.” PLS brochures are mailed in January and August with new topics frequently added. PLS courses are compliant with continuing education regulations. In addition to large group meetings, unique services such as tailored dental hygiene refresher and skills update programs for individual and small groups are provided. These programs, presented in various settings, are available nationwide.

Joyce Turcotte, RDH, M.Ed., President and CEO

A successful entrepreneur and leader in the profession, Joyce lectures nationally on a wide variety of topics. She conducts Dental Hygiene Clinical Refresher programs, in-office seminars, clinical workshops, and CPR courses with her professional staff. Her recent career expansion is focused on consulting for academic and corporate training in education.

Joyce has actively served in leadership positions for the American Academy of Dental Hygiene and the Connecticut Dental Hygiene Association. She received the CDHA Mabel C. McCarthy Award and was inducted as a faculty member of Tunxis Community College into the Sigma Phi Alpha honor society.

Joyce’s thirty years of passionate teaching is in the areas of dental hygiene and education. She enjoys clinical teaching at Tunxis Community College for over twenty years. Recently, Joyce was teaching an online course in Instructional Strategies for the University of Bridgeport, Fones School in Connecticut.
